About Trade Unions

Trade has been the key operating domain of the consumer cooperation community from the early days of its existence. And today it remains a high-priority industry. Our trade network comprises both stores and markets.

Various descriptions of old markets have survived up to these days. In the beginning of the 18th century, John Alnpech, a pubic person and pharmacist from Lviv, wrote that the market in Lviv ...served social needs, representing a spacious square area, where all the required goods were exhibited for sale. Here, one could see buyers of all nationalities, arriving from Europe and Asia, mostly of Greek, Turkish, Armenian, Hungarian, German and Italian origin.

The network of stores is an integral element of Ukoopspilka trade industry. Over 10 thousand outlets are located throughout Ukraine. Ukoopspilka stores (in general, 8 out of 10) can be found even at small rural settlements.. Sometimes, our stores are the only opportunity for such local communities to access not just groceries, but household goods, as well. About 10% of our network are non-food stores.

Additionally, we are trying to keep up with the times and comply with the market requirements. That is why our network is subject to ongoing development, and we keep opening new modern outlets, both small stores and large supermarkets. We continuously improve our product range, and today it is comprised of over than 22 thousand articles. Besides, our stores offer a choice of domestic products, so that our customers could buy goods of Ukrainian manufacturers.
